These four article designs represent some of my strongest work as a visual editor at College Avenue Magazine. For the Outdoor edition, I designed Behind the Send with bold vertical titling and dynamic photo placement to reflect the intensity of rock climbing. Rocky Mountain National Park takes a cleaner, more serene approach, emphasizing the natural beauty of the landscape through spacious composition and a cool color palette. From the Health & Wellness edition, the Golden Poppy Herbal Apothecary layout blends hand-drawn details and warm tones to reflect the organic, grounded nature of the small business. Finally, from the Music & Performing Arts edition, I included a feature on Ace Gillett’s Lounge, an underground speakeasy. I used moody imagery and typography that emulates neon signage to reflect the intimate, vintage vibe of the space.
