For this project, I was tasked with creating a sticker sheet inspired by an artist of my choice. The objective was to capture the essence of the artist — not to mimic their style. I chose Rachel Denti, whose work and personality both exude a sense of playfulness and creativity. During an online seminar, she mentioned her love for pigeons and her background in printmaking, which inspired my concept. I designed the pigeons with a block-printed aesthetic to reflect her printmaking roots while highlighting her lighthearted spirit.

Design Process
I began this project by researching Rachel Denti to better understand her personality, creative process, and background as an artist and graphic designer. Early on, I explored ampersand concepts inspired by her description of her studio as a space rooted in both beauty and collaboration. I also noticed recurring pigeon iconography across her website and social media. This, along with her playful tone, led me to explore lighthearted pigeon illustrations as a central visual theme.
Sketches
As I refined the pigeon illustrations, I drew inspiration from an interview in which Rachel Denti mentioned her background in printmaking. This led me to develop a faux block-printing style for the drawings, aligning with her artistic history. Initially, I included a few ampersand designs, but ultimately removed them as they didn’t match the aesthetic of the rest of the stickers. I also began experimenting with color, eventually incorporating amorphous background shapes to enhance the playful tone of the designs.
