As the visual editor for College Avenue Magazine at Colorado State University, I designed the cover for an issue themed around music and the performing arts. Traditionally, the magazine had featured photographic covers, but for this edition, the editorial team and I decided to take a new direction by using illustration for the first time. The cover features a dancer, a comedian, and a guitarist sharing a stage, visually representing the theme without relying on text. This approach allowed us to capture the spirit of performance in a more expressive and symbolic way.
